BID Chair, Chris Guest, commented, “We are honoured that the businesses of Christchurch have shown their support for our second term business plan and seen the beneficial impact of Christchurch BID on our town. Selecting Christchurch BID to continue to represent our BID area for a second five year term.”
Christchurch BID Operations Manager, Eloise Howes, added, “The Initial hard work and investment to establish the BID is now paying off. We have built capability and partnerships. We understand what works for Christchurch and will continue to make Christchurch a welcoming place where we can be proud to trade, stay, visit and explore.”
Over the next five years, the BID will invest over £800,000 in projects designed to enhance Christchurch with colour. Building on the successes of its first term, which included the revival of Food Fest Local back on the High Street, and bringing Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride and The Julia’s House Tail Trail to Christchurch, along with grant funding to purchase Joule, our efficient, eco-friendly utility vehicle!
The second term will build on this momentum, and the BID team will maintain partnerships with BCP Council, Christchurch Town Council, Christchurch & District Chamber of Trade and Commerce, CSAS, Police, DMB, and Community Groups, to support all BID levy payers. Continuing to administer engaging events and maintain colourful enhancements to attract visitors. The BID will promote our community and advocate for local prosperity for Christchurch businesses.
The new term will officially begin on 01st November 2026.
